This painting is a part of the collection, West Coast Wonder, a series of paintings inspired by oceanside scenes, deep blue and green hues, tropical flora, and the salty sea breeze. Transported to a space of deep meditation and wonder, the methodical crashing of waves on the sandy shore invites contemplation to swell and soar. The whimsical shapes, lines, and forms of the seashells found washed up in tide pools elicits a playfulness within the painting reflected in meandering lines throughout the composition.
