Custom Denim Inspiration
This project started with finding unique thrifted denim jeans and jackets. I wanted to transform each item into a physical work of art, almost like one of my painting came to life. I love seeing the shapes, lines, and colors interact with the surrounding environment.
Each of my denim works are one of a kind. They are composed of abstract shapes inspired by my sketchbook. My sketchbook is continually evolving, a reflection of the places I’ve been on roadtrips, and landscapes that inspire me.
Here’s a run down of how my custom denim process works:
DM me on IG @ninadaniart or click the link below to email me saying “I’m interested in a custom denim piece!” I’ll send you my custom denim form with all the fun details :)
Pick out a pair of denim you’d like me to transform! I’m based out of Minneapolis, MN. If you’re local, we can arrange a pick up time, otherwise I’ll mail you a prepaid envelope with my return address, so you can ship them back to me for free.
Once I’ve got your denim in my studio, I create a custom design for you considering any details you’d like to include! My painting process could take a few days to complete depending on the design.
All my hand painted denim is then heat set so it’s permanent and washable, but I still always recommend washing as infrequently as possible and also air drying if necessary.
When finished, I will drop them off if you’re local, or ship them back to you!
